About

My name is Tracy Brennan. I am a knitter, spinner, weaver, and sometimes poet. I owned and operated Inca Dinca Do fibre mill from June 2017 to April of 2020 with the dream of supporting the local island fibre community via custom processing of wool, alpaca, mohair and llama into rovings and yarns. What a wonderful, crazy, unpredictable, amazing experience it was! The island and surrounding area welcomed my staff and I with open arms and kept us on our toes,

Sadly, the decision to sell the farm as a result of Covid19 and my aging father’s health has meant the closure of the mill. The equipment was sold to That Darn Yarn Shoppe and Fibre Mill in Kamloops. To my loyal customers and amazing staff, thank-you for letting me learn along with you! We discovered so much together; the carder will eat silk, core spun yarn is a ton of fun, wood chips and wool don’t mix, every new blend is my favourite and no, not every fleece wants to be processed.

The future is bright. I continue to stay involved in the fibre world as a weaver, hand spinner, and knitter. After years of restaurants or farms or mills demanding my time, my much neglected looms and spinning wheels are finally getting some attention. I sometimes even sell things.

And then every once in awhile, I weave words into poems.

With love,

Tracy

  1. Hi, I love reading about all of your fibre processing! So ambitious! Do you ever sell an alpaca fleece? I am spinning my own yarn and looking for a fleece supply.

    1. Thank you Judy. All of my alpaca fleece is now being processed through the mill and once I build up an inventory, I will offer yarn and roving for sale. Watch for updates to the website to let you know when these become available.

    1. Hi Jan. Thanks for the inquiry. Yes, we are accepting fleece now BUT we may experience quite a delay before the new spinner arrives and we get it up and running. Might be good to hold off until August?
